Can you record from VHS to a DVD on the JVC DVR/VCR Drmv99b or Drmv78b?

Dubbing means you can copy from DVD to VHS or VHS to recordable DVD...with one caveat. You cannot use a copyrighted tape or DVD. So if you wanted to dump your home movies from VHS to DVD, this will work fine. But if you wanted to dump your aging VHS copy of some Hollywood movie to DVD, it won't work due to copy protection called macrovision, which is on all such VHS and DVDs.
