I've never had , but i've tried it solo, and nothing would go in. will it be the same in real life?

i've fingered myself before, and that went alright. but when i tried a vibrator, one that was modeled like a real life , it wouldn't go in. i'm afraid this will happen in real life too and i don't want to be embarred when it does.
